The Warhawk Marathon Club is open to all currently enrolled UW–Whitewater students, no matter your major, year, or running background.
You don’t need to be a fast runner or have marathon experience to be part of the club. Some members may be training for their first half or full marathon, while others are working toward new personal goals. What matters most is your willingness to commit, stay consistent, and train as part of a team.
If you’re interested in long-distance running and want structure, accountability, and support, you’ll fit right in.
Being a member of the Warhawk Marathon Club means:
We focus on building a positive, inclusive environment where effort matters more than pace. Everyone trains at their own level, but we move forward together.
There is no cost to join, and there are no pace or experience requirements. The club is built to be welcoming, supportive, and accessible to all students.
The Warhawk Marathon Club follows UW–Whitewater’s non-discrimination policy and is committed to creating a space where all members feel respected, included, and supported.
Getting involved is easy:
1. Fill out the interest form linked below
2. Show up to a training run or meeting
3. Start training with the team
Once you’ve joined, you’ll receive updates about run schedules, events, and opportunities to get more involved with the club.
Members who want to take on a leadership role can run for an Executive Board position or help support club activities throughout the year. Leadership opportunities are a great way to build experience, stay involved, and help shape the future of the club.
